Aitas KZ is one of the largest holdings in the agro-industrial sector in the production, processing and distribution of poultry meat. All products of the holding are produced by Makinskaya and Ust-Kamenogorsk poultry farms. As of today, poultry farms have reached a production capacity of 160 000 tons in live weight per year. The company has a high level of presence in the market of Kazakhstan, selling finished products in Akmola, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Karaganda regions and other major cities of the country. In addition, Aitas KZ exports its products to Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

In 2017, Qazaqstan Investment Corporation, through its funds, supported Aitas KZ in the implementation of construction project of the first stage of Makinskaya Poultry Farm (MPF), implemented in Bulandy area of Akmola region. Following the completion of the construction of MPF in 2018, the poultry farm reached its full design capacity in 2019.
 
In 2019, QIC supported the project by reducing the currency risks of the project and financed the replacement of dollar investments from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), attracted as part of the construction of first phase of MPF, for financing in tenge. The replacement of dollar investments from the EBRD for financing in tenge made it possible to strengthen the financial stability of the project in a timely manner, increase its investment attractiveness and competitiveness in Kazakhstan.
 
In 2019, QIC supported the project by refinancing obligations to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to reduce the debt burden in foreign currency.
